Sun Valley, Idaho has evolved from being a winter destination resort for the rich and famous to an all season resort destination and wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. Although winter sports still abound with some of the best downhill skiing in North America, Nordic skiing and ice skating to name a few, summers offer just about any sport and out-door activity you can imagine. There is golf, tennis, swimming, water skiing, horse back riding, hiking, road and mountain bike riding and so much more all in and around the Sun Valley area.
The area is also a center for the arts, local theater and music. The Sun Valley Company among many other new projects is building a permanent home in the summer of 2008 for the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. This is the largest free (donation supported) symphony in the country.
The area is a special blend of small town life mixed with the sophistication and arts of a big city. With excellent schools, both public and private, it is a wonderful place to raise a family supported by a caring involved community in a healthy, athletic environment in the mountains and close to nature.
In and around Sun Valley are the towns of Ketchum, Hailey and Bellevue as well as the areas of Warm Springs, North Ketchum, Elkhorn, Mid Valley, and South Blaine County.
